Lilliput Electrical serves the whole of Southbourne from our Poole base, around 18 minutes away. Southbourne is one of Bournemouth’s most desirable residential areas, running along the clifftops from Fisherman’s Walk to Hengistbury Head. The area is characterised by wide, tree-lined avenues of Edwardian villas, a thriving high street along Southbourne Grove, and direct access to some of the best beaches on the south coast.
Southbourne’s housing stock is predominantly Edwardian, with many of the larger villas converted into flats during the mid to late twentieth century. These conversions often involved adding separate electrical supplies, consumer units, and metering for each flat, sometimes without a coherent overall plan. The result can be complex, with shared risers, multiple consumer units in cupboards, and wiring of varying ages throughout the building.
For whole-house rewires of unconverted properties, prices start from £5,500 for a 3-bed home. Larger Edwardian villas with four or five bedrooms are priced individually after a full survey.
